Homalomena is a genus of leafy evergreen tropical houseplants, known for their large, waxy, and glossy foliage and relative ease of care.
While this plant will tolerate low light conditions, it will perform best when positioned in medium indirect light. It prefers warmer temperature conditions and will grow best when kept in an area which maintains a temperature of 60-90˚F (15-32˚C). Maintaining a medium humidity (50% or above) will assist in keeping it happy and healthy. When temperatures reach up to 64˚F (18˚C) or higher, it is best to try and increase the humidity level.
They prefer well-draining soil, and are considered toxic to ingest.
