An incredibly prolific bloomer that provides vivid color from spring until winter.  Forms a low mound, covered with velvety, carmine red flowers with bright yellow centers.  Highly disease resistant foliage emerges with a red tinge and matures to dark green with burgundy edges. Perfect for massing or as a large-scale groundcover.  Deciduous.  Reaches 2 to 3 ft. tall, 3 to 4 ft. wide.

Low profile and spreading habit make these the ideal filler plants for almost any application in full sun. Use to flesh out the front of the aging shrub or perennial border. Group in irregular combinations or mass as a true groundcover to compound the potent floral color display. Exceptional choice for lining the edge of a walk or driveway and filling the narrow strip that divides front yards. A beautiful choice for banks and slopes as coverage and erosion control. In traditional rose gardens, plant among taller shrub or cutting roses to tidy up the ground plain underneath. Outstanding in white French boxes or very large terra cotta pots. Makes particularly elegant potted patio tree on porch or terrace.
