Bishop's Cap (Astrophytum myriostigma) (Lemaire): A collector's cactus with 3-10 wide ribs that give it a star-like shape. It grows in the deserts of northern and central Mexico and can reach 10.0" tall and 7.0" wide at maturity. The green stem is spineless and sometimes speckled with tiny white dots that help it camouflage in its rocky habitat. It blooms in spring/summer with a 3.0" long, shiny yellow flowers. This species earned the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. This plant is currently 1.0"-2.0" in diameter and fully rooted in a 3.5" pot.
