Add texture and color to shady spots with compact clumps of yellow-green to dark-green foliage with a broad white stripe down the center. Excellent for adding contrast to containers, paired with colorful annuals or flowering perennials. Plant en masse for dramatic texture and color as edging or as a groundcover. Evergreen. Reaches 10 to 12 in. tall, 12 to 14 in. wide.
Provide well-drained, moist soil. Best color in bright shade; avoid harsh sun exposures in hot summer areas. Water regularly in first growing season to establish root system; once established, maintain evenly moist soil. Old, faded foliage may be gently raked to remove. Prune very lightly just before new growth emerges in spring.
