Fast-growing, compact form with succulent leaves that are 6" wide and spineless. Bright yellow flowers appear in late summer and are followed by red, pear-like fruit.
A spineless prickly-pear cactus that is native to Mexico and the American Southwest. Can grow several inches a year, paddles are one average of 7-10 inches tall. In many regions, this cactus can be eaten, as the smaller pups are better to ingest and the fruit it bears is known as Tuna.
