A dense, mounding habit, with lower branches spreading along the ground, forming roots as they go, creating an expanding colony. Adored by pollinators. Adapted to western coastal climates, it can benefit from some shade and extra water in hot inland areas. Comes true to seed. A woody perennial; evergreen in mild climates.
