The Monarch Butterfly is on the brink of extinction. Our eco-friendly packet has a natural kraft-look and simple etched design of a butterfly enjoying a milkweed plant. Plant milkweed to help keep essential habitats from disappearing.

Milkweed Mix Contents: Asclepias incarnata (Swamp), Asclepias tuberosa (Butterfly), Asclepias speciosa (Showy). These are NOT tropical. Plant these seeds to help keep butterfly habitats from disappearing. Packet size: 3 ¼" x 4 ½"

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS: Direct sow in late fall or spring. Cold stratify for 30 days before seeding. Start 7-9 weeks before last frost. Transplant into 4” pots after 3-5 weeks. Harden off and transplant to well-drained soil. Trim tops of plants when they reach roughly 8-12” to produce more stalks.

This mix is not recommended for Southern California. Asclepias plants and sap may cause skin irritation in humans and animals. Do not ingest seed or plants.
