Hemerocallis x 'Ruby Spider'
A spectacular daylily with enormous, dark ruby red flowers with intriguing, spatula-shaped petals that open wide and flat, displaying golden yellow throats. Plant en masse for stunning visual impact. Adaptable to dry conditions and tolerant of pollution, black walnut trees and salt. Reaches 30 to 34 in. tall, 24 in. wide. An herbaceous perennial.
Thrives in organically rich loam; adapts to most soil types, provided they are well-drained. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates mild drought. Remove old foliage and spent blooms for a neat appearance and to promote continued bloom.
