'Longwood Purple' American wisteria is a well-known Longwood Gardens selection noted for its bushy growth and deep purple flowers. In late spring and early summer, the deciduous vine produces 5-inch-long pendulous clusters of fragrant flowers that attract butterflies. The lush foliage is bright green.
